What is Family Studies? Family studies seeks to understand the health and welfare of families to help us to better determine the future for our children and the nation as a whole. It’s difficult to find anyone who does not believe that families are the building blocks of any society. We believe that the family is one of the cornerstones of civilization. Our academic approach to family studies takes very seriously ways to enlarge our understanding in order to prepare students, not just as members of families themselves, but as proactive agents of change to help find ways to strengthen and value the family as a whole.
