The BA in Interdisciplinary Studies is an option for students seeking a degree that provides a broad background applicable to a variety of careers. HCU’s program offers a wide range of flexibility to choose courses drawing from different disciplines of study.

There are no courses designated as Interdisciplinary Studies. Instead, students can choose a concentration in one or two of three different areas of courses offerings in: Humanities, Math and Science, and Business. (See the degree completion plan below to explore your options.)

Program Overview

Obtaining a degree in interdisciplinary studies provides the student a well-rounded education with study in many different areas. It can also be a stepping stone in the pursuit of a master’s degree or further education toward a specific career.

Within the Interdisciplinary Studies degree, students have the opportunity to select one or two of the following specializations:

  • Humanities
  • General Math and Science

What Can I Do with an Interdisciplinary Degree from HCU?

Admission Requirements

Submit transcripts showing you achieved a high school general or advanced diploma or a GED. (Waived if you have 32 credit hours or more of transfer credit.)

Submit all transcripts from previous colleges, including additional postbaccalaureate or graduate-level coursework. Must be sent directly from the school.

For unofficial transcripts emailed to OnlineVerification@HC.edu, initial acceptance may be given; however, official transcripts must be received by your second semester.
